Calculation Methodology
Every result follows the same reproducible calculation chain.
Lump sum
The invested amount is divided by the historical price to estimate units bought. Those units are valued at the latest valid price to derive profit, loss and the return multiple.
DCA
Units purchasable with a fixed amount are accumulated at each valid interval. Total cost, average purchase price and current value are shown separately.
FX and inflation
Historical FX is used at purchase and current FX at valuation when currencies differ. Inflation-adjusted value is presented separately from the nominal result.
Not included
Broker fees, tax, spreads, custody costs and dividend reinvestment for price indices are not included by default.
